Well from when I was about 9 I'd listened to 'rave' music, my older brother was listening to all the old Fantazia, Obssesion, and Dreamscape tapes, but to be honest, I liked it but couldnt put up with it for long. I never really was someone who could listen to a lot of music anyway.

It wasn't until i hit my late teens, i got a Ratpack tape off one of my mates, and it was well weird, listening through and knowing most the choons and lyrics....for some reason i was instantly hooked! Before i knew it i was a right Ratpack head!

I still didn't get the whole rave thing though until just before my 18th. My bro and all my mates we're going to Flashback to see Ratpack B2B DJ Rap at the Que Club, and i wanted to go - but being babyfaced i thought id never get in. Me and my mate Burnzy (who also wasnt old enough to go) got up there - BOOM we got in!

I went through a lot of stages in music to be honest, firstly the Old Skool/Jungle tip but then some Hardcore and D&B. Old Skool got a bit dry for me, and the Drum & Bass was getting old, and the atmosphere just wasn't what i was looking for anymore, so i left them two behind and stuck with my Hardcore! TRUST ME IM GLAD I DID!

I'd always felt though that i get so much from Hardcore & Raves i wanna be able to give something back, and at first, Quadrosonic was that. My own sort of online "scrapbook" that grew and grew. But then Manis (DOA) got himself some decks, and by this point he was well into his Drum & Bass.

I got that fed up of listening to his D&B i brought some hardcore vinyls, and just left them at his house, coz i couldnt really mix anyways so I'd just have a blast when i got there! Before i knew it i'd brought loads, i was starting to get on par with the decks and set up and Manis was starting to love his hardcore again!! BUZZIN.

Then it was like a bit of competition. I had the advantage of knowing the chunes, and Manis had the advantage of knowing his way round the decks better. I've now been DJing for around 2-3 years, my collection of vinyl has expanded, i own my own pair of Stanton Str8-150's which i'm lovin' TOO MUCH! I've DJ'd out in clubs now for about a year and a half, and im just continually working, continually expanding my skills and loving being able to entertain the crowds!!
